Stress almost seems to be a fact of everyday life now. We all need a bit of stress to make it worthwhile getting up in the morning but when it dominates our lives or makes us ill it's not such a great idea. The link between stress and ill-health is well known so stress reduction is really important to maintain a state of well-being. Mindfulness means paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, with compassion, curiosity and acceptance. Through being Mindful, we discover how to live our lives in the present moment without dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Mindfulness has been well-researched and tested in clinical settings and has been shown to reduce stress levels and improve well-being.
